Youngest person to fly in a microgravity aircraft

Microgravity

On 19 June 2008 at 10:00, the Ecuadorian Civilian Space Agency (EXA) in conjunction with the Ecuadorian Air Force will be attempting to set a record for the youngest person to fly in a microgravity aircraft. Jules André Nader Drouet (b. 24 June 2000), accompanied by the crew of the aircraft Fuerza-1 CONDOR and his father – the first Ecuadorian astronaut Commander Ronnie Nader, will participate in the flight which is part of project ‘Poseidon’.

The children participating in the flight have all undergone rigorous medical examinations as well as both mental and physical training. All necessary precautions have been taken by EXA to ensure that the flight is a success and the children are duly cared for throughout the attempt.

Once the flight evidence has been verified, a Guinness World Records adjudicator will be on hand to present a certificate to commemorate this outstanding achievement.
