The record for the longest singing marathon is broken again
On 10 November 2007 the record for the longest singing marathon was achieved by Tony Di Modugno.
The Italian singer sang for 74 hours and 10 minutes despite the wind and the cold which risked to bring his attempt to a halt. The warmth from the public made it possible for him to continue to sing and achieve this fantastic record.
Tony began singing on 7 November in front of officers of the local government a big public and his friends, who never
left him alone, and brought him local delicacies to eat during the breaks. Unfortunately Tony had to remain focussed and
could only drink soups and light meals. On 9 November a whole market was set up around Tony so the local shoppers could
buy their groceries with Tony singing in the background. In this memorable day Tony could get his record back from Thomas Vijayan, an Indian record breaker who sang for 72 hours, but above all he could reaffirm his great passion for music.
